The seasons pass by so quickly, it’s hard to believe that it’s almost time to put our winter wear away, and gear up for the warmer weather. Spring happens in a blink of an eye and then it’s gone, but the one season that seems to linger longest is next, good old endless summer! So, grab your credit cards kids, because it’s time to do some shopping! Here are some of the summer fashion trends we see popping up as the thermometer rises red!
A Pop Of Red – Possibly our favorite color, but one that can be used and abused so badly! Red is a wild beast that needs taming or it will overwhelm your look and growl menacingly at the other colors until they pale and flee! So, just a touch, a hint, a pop of red is the magic ingredient this summer. Go out with some big black shades, an airy white blouse, faded blue Nudie jeans, and a pair of the brightest red shoes you can possibly find! You will be walking on fire, but it won’t burn, only captivate the eyes of all you pass by!
Say It With The 70’s – This is a pop culture era that never dies, it just keeps on spinning back into fashion every few years, and here it comes again! Put on your big, zany sunglasses that would make Sir Elton John blush, a groovy tie-dye top that shows plenty of skin around the midriff and shoulders, a pair of bell bottom jeans and the bigger the flair the better, and top it all off with some crazy cool 70’s jewelry like a chunky old necklace, a mood ring, and hoop earrings that will dangle and swing when you move and hypnotize the whole disco dance floor!
Heat It Up With Hot Pants – We see this trend appear year after year, even in the winter, but no more shivering bare legs, the appropriate season for hot pants is coming around the bend, so get yours today! The goal is to get them as high on the thigh as you can go, then bareleg it right down to the ground, this is how you show off those crazy cute gams of yours! Wear your hot pants with a pair of black boots and an oversized blazer to really make those heads turn when you walk by, you will be sure to have every eye!
Nicely Nautical – We humans are water beings at heart, and if we are lucky we live somewhere near the sea, or at least a nice river or lake where we can do some boating! The nautical motif is another one of those timeless styles that never seems to fade, you can count on it to be back with the tide every summer and ready to shine like the sea sparkles! Start with a cute captain’s hat, some groovy shades to keep the wave’s glare down, a rugby shirt with blue horizontal stripes topped with a red kerchief sporting a blue and white signal flag pattern, knee-length denim short pants in white, and a pair of comfy boat shoes! Anchors aweigh!
